Regulated Agent
Regulated Agent is an Indonesian legal entity that conducts business activities with air transportation companies that are licensed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to carry out security checks on cargo and post. The authority of the company is carried out by the Regulated Agent as the sole actor in the inspection of cargo and letters after obtaining permission from the Directorate General of Civil Flight. Indonesia as one of the ICAO member countries is required to comply with the process related to air cargo as listed in Appendix 17. Following up on this, the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia issued the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 53 of 2015 which was later updated with Ministerial Regulation PM 153 2015 concerning Security of Cargo and Postal Transport by Aircraft.
